Geoff Jones, Managing Director of Nine Entertainment Co. Events
As Managing Director of Nine Entertainment Co. Events, Geoff has responsibility for Ticketek, Softix, Allphones Arena, Nine Rewards, and event company Nine Live.
Geoff has a diverse background in both the corporate sector at a senior executive level together with extensive experience in the live sport and entertainment industry. Prior to re-joining Nine Entertainment Co. he spent 2010 as a Partner/Director of SEL, Australia’s leading Sports & Entertainment Company.
Before SEL, Geoff was CEO of Ticketek. He assumed this role in early 2007 and during his 3 years in the role he was responsible for exceptional growth and diversification of that business.
Prior to Ticketek he held a number of senior executive positions at the Foster’s Group. During his five years at Foster’s he spent one year as General Manager Queensland, then 2 years as Sales and Marketing Director CUB, before assuming the role as National Sales Director Foster’s Australia for the combined beer, wine and spirits business.
From 1997, Geoff had five years of entertainment, media and sports giant IMG. He variously held the roles of CEO of the Gold Coast Indy, Director of Motorsport and General Manager Queensland.
Before IMG, Geoff was an Army Officer attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serving in a wide range of management appointments in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Geoff has held a broad range of Directorships in both the sports and live entertainment sectors.
